DOS MUKASAN (FR) (c, 3, Golden Horde {Ire}--Dalkeya {Fr}, by Exceed And Excel {Aus}), who closed last term with a Nov. 19 conditions success at Chantilly after running fourth in October's G3 Prix Thomas Bryon, broke well and led from the outset of this sophomore bow. Holding sway throughout, the 36-5 chance was shaken up passing the quarter-mile marker and ridden out inside the final 300 metres to defeat 'Homebred TDN Rising Star' Ultrafragola (Ire) (Sottsass {Fr}) by 1 1/2 lengths. Dos Mukasan is the latest of two foals, both winners, out of a half-sister to G1 Dubai Sheema Classic heroine Dolniya (Fr) (Azamour {Ire}) and Listed Prix Tantieme runner-up Dolianova (Fr) (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}). Dolniya's trio of black-type performers includes G3 Prix Quincey victor Dilawar (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}). The March-foaled grey=s second dam Daltama (Ire) (Indian Ridge {Ire}) is a half- sister to four stakes winners headed by multiple Group 1- winning sires Daylami (Ire) (Doyoun {Ire}) and Dalakhani (Ire) (Darshaan {GB}). Lifetime Record: 4-3-0-0, €52,500.
