I A WORD FROM NURLAN BIZAKOV
"
Dear Breeders,
I was born in a small village in southern Kazakhstan at the foot of the Khan Tengri mountain, a place inhabited by more horses than people. Although I left home a long time ago, the scenery and the horses of my village, Sumbe (Phonetically: Soom-bay), will always hold a special place in my heart and in my memories. When I walk the French countryside, especially in Normandy, I get the chance to be surrounded by horses again and feel a little more French with each new day.
It is important for every individual to take pride in their roots and it has been nearly two decades that every winner wearing my silks honors my beloved native land. And, as my involvment in the game expanded, I decided that my farms Montfort & Préaux, Mézeray and Hesmonds Stud, would operate under the name of SUMBE and that the company’s branding would pay tribute to the azure and yellow colors of my country’s flag.
France is a powerful force in the Thoroughbred industry, a country of proven traditions and premier horsemanship supplying a steady stream of french-bred and french-trained Group 1 winners around the world, thanks also to a favourable, well-regulated environment. And of course, stallions play an overwheming part in any country’s recognition. In this regard, providing domestic and international breeders with the best sire profiles has been an important aspect of my operations’ development in France.
Wishing you success in all your present and future endeavours,
Best regards.
